Camp Kef (K-3rd grades), which means “fun” in Hebrew, is a variety Day Camp that will provide an array of activities and experiences led by our dynamic counselors. From slippery slides and rock climbing walls to storytellers and performers, each week there will be a variety of special activities. Camp VBS, offers a total of six, week-long specialty camps for students entering grades 4-6. Each week campers will participate in activities in conjunction with the specialty theme. Specialty camps will include Robotics, Basketball, Arts & Crafts, Animation, Volleyball, and Sports Variety. You may register for one or all. CIT Leadership & Social Action Program (Grades 7-9) The Camp VBS CIT Leadership Program, led by Rabbi Avi Taff, is designed to foster leadership for youth entering grades 7-9. Counselors-in-Training will participate in leadership training and gain hands-on experience assisting Camp Kef campers. As part of the leadership training, CIT's will actively participate in a weekly social action project. CIT's will leave camp once a week to volunteer at various organizations around the greater Los Angeles Area and will help implement social action programs for campers. CIT's will also receive community service hours. Junior Counselors (Grades 10-12) Junior counselor opportunities are available for students entering grades 10-12. Junior Counselors will receive community service credit as well as a stipend.
